FORCE GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM SEEKS MIDDLE SCHOOL COACH Full Job Description The Frederick Force is a successful, competitive volunteer sports organization that is seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and collaborative volleyball coach to lead our girls’ middle school volleyball program. Programs include a camp week, practices, and games. This position requires a heartfelt commitment to Christ and a passion to develop faith in the players while training excellence in volleyball skills at the middle school level. Responsibilities – manage and deliver exceptional youth volleyball programs – assist with the development of future volleyball programs – work with the athletic director to schedule, promote, and execute volleyball programs – serve as the middle school coach of the volleyball program Schedule – practice and/or games up to three days per week (August – October) – one week camp as a fundraiser, if able (July) – open gyms as able (June and July) This role provides flexibility in schedule and a team of volunteers that support the coach and the program. Expenses are paid, and a small stipend will be paid at the end of the season. BIG NEWS! Frederick Force Athletics is excited to welcome Kristen Wojdan as the new Girls’ Varsity Volleyball Coach. Kristen brings over 25 years of coaching experience at the youth, high school, college, and club levels, along with a lifelong passion for mentorship, leadership, and Christ-centered excellence in sports. Kristen’s coaching journey began in the early 1990s and includes roles such as JV and Varsity Volleyball Coach at Kenwood and Northwest High Schools, where she led and developed competitive programs. She also coached club volleyball for Time Out for Sports in Baltimore, served as a U.S. Navy Volleyball Camp Coach, and taught volleyball at Carroll Community College. Most recently, she coached girls’ volleyball at FCA PowerCamp and girls’ basketball with Upward Sports. In addition to coaching, Kristen has served as a high school teacher and administrator in both private and public schools across the DMV region, teaching subjects such as social studies, reading, and student leadership. She has also worked as an education and leadership consultant for various organizations across multiple industries throughout the United States. Early in her career, Kristen had the unique opportunity to work with students and educators internationally in Canada, Mexico, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Her diverse professional experience reflects a deep commitment to equipping and pouring into young people so they can grow in confidence, character, and skill—and ultimately reach their greatest potential. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science in History and Social Sciences from Towson University, where she also served as a Division I Volleyball Team Manager, and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from McDaniel College. Throughout her professional journey, she has remained committed to excellence in teaching, coaching, and inspiring young people. Most important to Kristen is being a follower of Jesus Christ. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a young age and has been walking with Him ever since. Kristen sees coaching as a powerful opportunity to encourage athletes both spiritually and personally. She and her husband recently celebrated 21 years of marriage and homeschool their two children. Kristen currently helps lead a Christian homeschool co-op, viewing every role she serves in as part of her greater mission to know God and make Him known. Kristen is described by mentors and colleagues as a passionate educator, strong leader, and inspiring presence. We are thrilled to have her join the Force family and look forward to an incredible season ahead under her leadership.
